Tetra Tech AMT wins FAA SE2020 Program Management and Systems Engineering
ARLINGTON, Virginia-July 07, 2010 - Tetra Tech AMT announced today the award of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) SE2020 Full-and-Open Program Management and Systems Engineering (PM & SE) contract to our prime contractor - Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. This single award contract is worth over $700 million dollars to the Booz Allen team with a 5-year base period and two option periods of 3 years and 2 years respectively. The Booz Allen team will evaluate emerging procedures and technologies and perform systems engineering to determine the best way to deploy NextGen initiatives on a wide scale. The term NextGen reflects the transformation of current FAA systems, procedures, and facilities to a comprehensive service upgrade focused to improve safety, capacity, and efficiency of operations in the National Airspace System (NAS).
This award builds on our recent award of the FAA SE2020 Full-and-Open Research and Development (R&D) contract to our prime contractor - Boeing Co. Tetra Tech AMT is one of the few large businesses to win both the SE2020 SIR1 R&D contract and the SE2020 SIR2 PM & SE contract. These wins reflect Tetra Tech AMT's role as a key provider of NextGen services to the FAA and will serve as a basis for AMT's continued broad-based growth around NextGen development and implementation.
