Federal Aviation Administration

Area Navigation / Required Navigation Performance Group

ATO's RNAV/RNP Group is responsible for the development and implementation of area navigation and required navigation performance procedures into the National Airspace System. These procedures are an integral part of the FAA Administrator's "Flight Plan" to move towards the next generation of air transportation. AMTI has supported the RNAV/RNP Group since its establishment in 2002. With support staff in 10 locations across the three FAA Service Areas and the Group's main office in Washington, DC, AMTI's duties range from program management support to the authoring of complex flight procedures. AMTI professionals - many of whom are experienced air traffic controllers and pilots - bring years of experience in air traffic control operations and navigational systems.
